I like to explore different genres of music. But it's all rooted in personal experience and the spirit of nature runs through it all.

When you live in a small town (and love it!) sometimes making music feels impossible - like, how do you get your sound out there without a giant studio or a full band? A few years ago, what you hear in these songs wouldn't have been possible without all that. But these days? Tech has changed everything. The same person who couldn't quite master a recorder in elementary school can now make music from the basement at home - and grabbed the chance to do it with both hands.

This isn't dance music - this is the kind of music you kick back with, preferably around midnight with your favorite drink in hand. The kind where you can actually hear the words.

Genre-wise? It's not just one thing. If a song feels like folk-rock, cool - let's roll with that. Maybe the next track leans country-western, and after that how about inspiration from Sondheim?

Ainsley Blackwell may never be a huge pop star (though, honestly? That would be kinda cool 😆). But really it's about sharing these songs and putting them out into the world.
